The Leicester Mercury Media Lecture
To be given by Mr Mike Sassi,
Editor of Nottingham Post
The lecture will highlight the fact that although local newspaper circulations may have diminished, readership of their websites is increasing rapidly. At least part of that increase is due to the fact that their brands are still trusted – which is why they can perform a valuable service for the communities that they serve.
Mike Sassi was editor of the Nottingham Post for six years. He began his career at the Derby Telegraph in 1988 and has worked at the Exeter Express & Echo and The South Wales Echo. In 1999 he was appointed editor of the Lincolnshire Echo before taking the same role at The Sentinel in 2005.
To be held at the New Walk Museum
