The Annual Members' Meeting, is open to all members of the Lit&Phil.
The meeting will start at 6:40 PM.
The Annual Members Meeting will be followed by a concert by the Bardi Trio: Robert Calow - Clarinet, David Calow - Flute and Marguerite Beatson - Piano.

The Annual Members Meeting will take place in Hansom Hall, beginning at
6.40pm. The meeting will be the first of the 2025 - 2026 season.
The Annual Members' Meeting is an opportunity to hear about, and discuss, the Society’s business and plans for the 2025/26 season, as well as any other matters which members wish to raise.

Flute, Clarinet & Piano Trio – David Calow, Robert Calow & Marguerite Beatson. Members of the Bardi Symphony & Wind Orchestras.
David Calow - Flute
David Calow was born and educated in Leicestershire. David received his early musical training from the Leicestershire School of Music where he played flute in the Senior Concert Band. He also played flute and piccolo in The National Youth Wind Orchestra from 1978-84.
David now has a varied and busy musical life playing flute and piccolo with the Bardi Symphony Orchestra and as a conductor, Music Director the Bardi Wind Orchestra, Bardi Wind Soloists, Clarendon Park Orchestra, Associate Conductor of the Rutland Sinfonia, University of Leicester Orchestra, Warwick Orchestral Winds and conductor of the woodwind ensemble Musicamici.
Robert Calow - Clarinet
Robert Calow was born and educated in Leicester and also received his early musical training from the Leicestershire School of Music where he played clarinet in the Senior Concert Band. He played clarinet and alto clarinet in The National Youth Wind Orchestra from 1978-84.
Robert is in great demand as a clarinettist, playing with the Bardi Symphony Orchestra, Bardi Wind Orchestra, Rutland Sinfonia, Heart of England Orchestra and Knighton Chamber Orchestra. He has also played many times at the Little Theatre in local theatre productions and is also a member of the woodwind ensemble Musicamici and the Trio Tea for Three.
Marguerite Beatson - Piano
Marguerite Beatson learned to play the piano in her native city of Sheffield where she worked in the health service for a number of years. On moving to Leicester Marguerite continued studying music with the Open University. She graduated with first class honours and now teaches the piano in Leicester. She gained an M.A. in psychology for musicians from the University of Sheffield and is a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music.
Over recent years Marguerite has been in great demand as a keyboard player with several orchestras including the Bardi Symphony and Wind Orchestras, the Charnwood Orchestra, Rutland Sinfonia, Leicester Symphony Orchestra, Knighton Chamber Orchestra and the Heart of England Orchestra.
